Team Management

Temway is built for teams. You can invite teammates to your team so you build, preview, and export emails together. This guide covers invitations, roles, the limits that apply to your plan, and how to restrict a specific workspace to only the staff who should see it.

Inviting team members

Team members are invited by email. To invite someone:

  1. Open your workspace settings and go to Team.
  2. Click Invite member and enter their email address.
  3. Temway sends an invitation email with a secure, single-use link.
  4. The invitee accepts the invitation by signing in with the same email address.

Invitations expire after 7 days. You can revoke a pending invitation at any time before it’s accepted.

Roles and permissions

Every team member has one of four roles, in order of decreasing access:

  • Owner — Everything an admin can do, plus deleting the team itself. Every team has exactly one owner.
  • Admin — Manages team members and invitations, billing and the plan, and workspace settings — including creating workspaces and restricting one to specific staff (see below) — plus everything an editor can do.
  • Editor — Creates and edits emails and layouts, updates workspace branding, and uses the AI assistant.
  • Viewer — Can open and read emails, layouts, and branding, and leave comments, but can’t create or change content.

Only owners and admins can invite or remove members, or change the plan.

Plan limits

Each plan caps the number of team members you can add to a workspace:

PlanTeam members
Free1
Starter3
Pro10
Max100

If you’ve reached your plan’s limit, you’ll be prompted to upgrade before you can send more invitations. When you upgrade, new seats become available immediately.

Removing a member

Admins can remove a team member at any time from the Team settings. Removed members lose access to the workspace and all of its emails and layouts immediately.

Multiple workspaces

A team can have multiple workspaces, each with its own branding and emails. By default, every team member can open every workspace on the team — membership is per team, not per workspace. Member limits apply per team, and workspaces are subject to your plan’s workspace limit. This lets you keep separate brands or clients under a single subscription.

Restricting a workspace to specific staff

For a workspace that shouldn’t be open to your whole team — a sensitive client, for example — an owner or admin can restrict it to a chosen list of staff instead of the whole-team default above.

  1. Open the Workspaces list and choose Manage access for the workspace.
  2. Switch it from Team to Restricted.
  3. Add the staff who should be able to open it.

Turning on restriction starts the allowlist empty — every editor and viewer loses access to that workspace immediately, until you explicitly add them back. Owners and admins always retain access, regardless of the allowlist.

Restriction governs who can open the workspace in the Temway app, and it’s also checked the next time an AI connector for that workspace is authorized or renewed (see MCP). It does not revoke an API key that already has access to the workspace — an existing key keeps working until you revoke it directly from the Developer page.

Next steps

  • Prevent editing conflicts with edit locks when two people work on the same email or layout.
  • Gather feedback and track sign-off with comments and approval.
  • Configure your branding so your team builds on consistent defaults.
  • Learn about the email blocks your team will use day to day.
