Email Blocks

Emails in Temway are assembled from drag-and-drop blocks. Each block is fully configurable from the properties panel on the right side of the builder. This guide covers the block types and what you can customize.

Structural blocks

Structural blocks define the layout of your email.

  • Section — The top-level container. Sections stack vertically and can have their own background color, padding, and borders.
  • Row — Holds one or more columns. Add a row inside a section, then choose a column layout.
  • Columns — Split a row into 1, 2, 3, or 4 columns. Each column holds its own content blocks.

Content blocks

Content blocks are dragged into columns to build your message.

  • Text — Rich text with formatting, custom fonts, font sizes, weights, letter spacing, line height, alignment, and text transforms.
  • Image — Upload an image or link to one. Arrange images in grids of up to 4 columns, with configurable spacing and corner radius.
  • Button — Call-to-action buttons with custom label, link, background color, padding, and corner radius.
  • Social — Social media icon links. Pick from popular networks and add your profile URLs; icons render as crisp PNGs in the final email.
  • Video — A thumbnail with a play button overlay that links to your video on YouTube, Vimeo, or elsewhere.
  • Divider — A horizontal separator line to visually break up sections.
  • Spacer — Add vertical breathing room between blocks.

Configuring a block

  1. Click any block on the canvas to select it.
  2. The properties panel on the right updates to show that block’s settings.
  3. Adjust styling, content, and spacing — changes update the preview in real time.
  4. Toggle between Desktop and Mobile viewports to confirm your layout adapts.

Tips

  • Build reusable layouts once and duplicate them across emails.
  • Keep mobile in mind: single-column layouts render most reliably on small screens.
  • Colors and fonts can inherit from your branding settings so every email stays on-brand automatically.
