E-commerce Newsletters and Launches

Published

Online stores send constantly — weekly newsletters, product drops, seasonal sales, restock alerts, and post-purchase follow-ups. Temway helps merchandisers, marketers, and copywriters build polished, on-brand emails fast and export the final HTML into whatever ESP runs their automations.

The challenge

E-commerce teams tend to run into three recurring problems:

  • Brand drift across a rotating cast of marketers — every campaign is built by someone different, so colors, fonts, and spacing slowly diverge between sends.
  • Broken layouts in Gmail and Outlook on mobile — product grids and promotional banners that look right in the editor collapse or shift on a phone.
  • Slow hand-offs to developers — every layout tweak, new block, or footer change becomes a ticket against a developer’s backlog.

On top of that, the campaign calendar is relentless. Promos ship weekly, sales line up back-to-back, and there’s rarely time to rebuild from scratch.

How Temway helps

Visual builder for the whole team

The drag-and-drop builder lets anyone on your team assemble emails from configurable blocks — sections, columns, text, images, buttons, social links, video, dividers, and spacers — without writing code. For product showcases, image blocks support grids of up to four columns with adjustable spacing and corner radius, so a new-arrivals grid or a “shop the look” strip comes together visually. Desktop and mobile views can be toggled inline so you catch responsive issues before you export.

Brand consistency via workspace branding

Each workspace holds a shared branding profile — colors, custom fonts, and logo — that every email inherits. Build your storefront palette once, and your weekly newsletter, product-drop announcement, and seasonal sale all draw from the same visual source of truth. Custom fonts are available on every plan, including Free. See Branding for the full setup.

Reusable layouts

Build a product-card grid or a branded header and footer once, then reuse it across campaigns. Layouts are lifetime totals per workspace — 5 on Free, unlimited on Starter, Pro, and Max — so each promotional template becomes a foundation for the next. See Layouts for how to assemble and reuse them.

Version history

Every publish saves a versioned snapshot you can restore in one step. Caps per email are 3 on Free, 10 on Starter, and 100 on Pro and Max. That makes it safe to experiment with a holiday variant or a bolder promo layout — if it doesn’t perform, restoring the previous version puts you back where you were before the next send. See Version history for the full flow.

A typical campaign mix

Most e-commerce teams build a recurring set of emails that share branding and layouts:

  1. Weekly newsletter — new arrivals, editor’s picks, and a featured category.
  2. Product-drop announcement — a single hero image, the story behind the launch, and a clear call-to-action.
  3. Seasonal sale — promo banner, discounted product grid, and an urgency footer.
  4. Post-purchase follow-up — order recap, care tips, and cross-sell suggestions.

Each of these is built from the same branding and shared layouts, exported as HTML, and dropped into your ESP’s automation flow or audience segment. Temway builds the email; your ESP handles the sends, the targeting, and the timing.

How it ships

Temway is a builder and exporter, not an ESP. The workflow is:

  1. Design the email in the visual builder.
  2. Export the rendered HTML, which is built to render consistently across Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail.
  3. Paste the HTML into your ESP — Mailchimp, Klaviyo, SendGrid, Customer.io, Postmark, Amazon SES, or whichever provider runs your campaigns and automations.

Before exporting, use in-app test sends to verify the email in a real inbox. Test sends are rate-limited per user on a rolling 24-hour window — 5 per day on Free, 20 on Starter, 50 on Pro, and 100 on Max. Anything that needs audience targeting, cart logic, or product-feed personalization stays in your ESP; Temway is the design and export step.

Results

Teams that move campaign production into Temway typically see:

  • Faster campaign turnaround — newsletters and drops ship in minutes instead of waiting on a developer.
  • Consistent brand — every campaign draws from one shared brand profile, no matter who built it.
  • Reliable mobile rendering — exported HTML holds up across Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail.
  • Safer holiday experiments — version history means a bold variant is one click to undo.

Free-tier workspaces carry a “Designed with Temway” badge; upgrading to Starter or above removes it and unlocks higher volume caps across workspaces, emails, exports, and team members.
